Terms of Service

NovelVerba (the «service») is a web application operated by an individual in Vietnam. It helps you translate novels from their source language (Chinese, Japanese, Korean…) into your target language using AI models, and read the translations inside your own account.

By creating an account, purchasing credits, or using any feature of the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. The service is not intended for anyone under 13 years of age.

Your account consists of an email address and a password. The password is stored as a one-way hash — we cannot read back your original password.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, change your password and contact us immediately.

Translations produced by AI models are automatic translations: they may contain errors in meaning, proper names, forms of address, or style. Translations are provided «as is», intended solely for personal reference reading, and should always be edited again if you want to use them seriously.

An AI translation is not an authorized, copyrighted translation and does not replace a lawful published edition of the work.

You may only upload documents that you own or have the legal right to translate. By uploading, you confirm that you hold that right and that the translation serves only your personal purposes.

You must not distribute, share, sell, or publish translations produced by the service in any form. All legal consequences arising from uploading and using infringing content are yours, and you agree to defend the operator's interests if a third party complains about content you uploaded.

If you are a copyright owner and believe any content on the service infringes your rights, send a takedown request to the contact email together with proof of ownership. For a valid request, within 72 hours in accordance with Vietnamese law on intellectual property, we will stop any ongoing processing of that content, block access to it — including download and export of the translation — remove the uploaded content, and decline to process it again while the block remains in effect. Repeat-offender accounts will be suspended.

The service runs on a prepaid credit wallet model: you purchase credits by bank transfer via a bank QR code, and credits are added to your wallet as soon as the transaction is confirmed.

Credits never expire. Because credits are digital content delivered at the moment the transaction succeeds, all purchases are non-refundable — except in two cases: (a) a technical fault on the service side makes credits unusable and cannot be fixed within a reasonable time; (b) special cases that we review individually in good faith. Your lawful consumer rights under applicable law are unaffected.

Unpaid top-up orders expire automatically after 24 hours. Your balance and wallet transaction history are always available in your account.

To respect authors' rights and minimize retained data, source material (the original content you upload) is deleted automatically: chapters that are fully translated and pass quality checks are deleted as soon as the whole novel is completed; abandoned novels, chapters still awaiting review, or source files with no activity for 30 days are deleted entirely.

Your translations remain readable and exportable (TXT/EPUB) as usual after the source is deleted — but you can no longer translate or re-scan from the original. Download your translations to keep them long term.

You may delete individual novels or stop using the service at any time; deleting a novel deletes all data related to that novel.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms (especially for distributing infringing content or abusing the system), with or without prior notice depending on severity. For accounts suspended for violations, remaining credits are not refunded.

The service is provided «as is», without warranties of continuity, error-free operation, or fitness for any particular purpose. We are not liable for any indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you does not exceed the total amount you have actually paid for the service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Disputes will be resolved through negotiation first. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be brought before the competent authority where the operator resides in Vietnam.

These Terms are published in Vietnamese, English, Indonesian, Spanish, and Thai. If another version conflicts with the Vietnamese version, the Vietnamese version prevails.

We may amend these terms over time; a new version is published on this page with its effective date and at least 7 days' prior notice by email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the new version.
